Somewhat randomly selecting one to respond to - you guys generated a
lot of chatter.
My view as both a software and hardware engineer on this is simple:
never try to solve a hardware problem with a software solution. You
will never win. It is possible to account for many edge cases, but no
matter how paranoid you may be, hardware always trumps software - it
has the last word, regardless of what you may try to do.
