[rsyslog] What backslash-escape sequences are supported in templates?

The man page gives '\7' (bell) as an example (in the section
'Templates'), and then it says "The set in rsyslog is a bit restricted
currently." I couldn't find any more info in the online documentation,
in either of the 'Templates' or 'Property Replacer' sections.

I just tried to use '\t' (tab) in a log format template, though, and
it didn't work--it prints as just 't'.

Is there a doc that lists what escapes are and aren't accepted? If
not, can somebody who knows the answer enlighten me?
