[rsyslog] OMSNMP module in 8.23?

After upgrading from rsyslog ~5.8 to 8.23, rsyslog now complains about not
finding the OMSNMP module it when it starts.

"Called LogMsg, msg: could not load module '/lib64/rsyslog/omsnmp.so',
dlopen: /lib64/rsyslog/omsnmp.so: cannot open shared object file: No such
file or directory"

It's true this module does not exist in this directory which was rewritten
when it was upgraded, although many other modules are present.

I might assume some failure during install as docs seem to indicate this
module is
actively supported but am not sure.
Does anyone know if the onsnmp module is still supported and if so why this
might occur?

Thanks to any in advance that may be able to provide insight,
