You can cleanup the logdatabase by using the maintenance.php script from
the cron folder, but you won't be able to archive the logs using this
method.
A clever way to create an archive would be to rename the existing
systemevents table to something like, systemevents_archive1, create a new
blank systemevents table and create a new logstream source in Loganalyzer
which uses the systemevents_archive1 table. This way, you can actually
switch to the archive whenever you want.
