Hello,
I am using [b:1j9xe19d]rsyslog 7.2.7[/b:1j9xe19d]. I have created a custom
rpm which includes rsyslogd and all plugin libraries.
Now the machine where I want to install [b:1j9xe19d]rsyslog
7.2.7[/b:1j9xe19d] rpm has already official [b:1j9xe19d]rsyslog
5.8.6[/b:1j9xe19d] pre-installed. The official installation also includes
/usr/lib64/rsyslog with all the plugins compatible with [b:1j9xe19d]rsyslog
5.8.6[/b:1j9xe19d].
I have managed to install [b:1j9xe19d]rsyslog 7.2.7[/b:1j9xe19d] into the
different path.
when I run rsyslogd with following command -
<custom_path>/rsyslogd -f/opt/space/rsyslog.conf -i/opt/space/rsyslog.pid
-d -n
It still refers to /usr/lib64/rsyslog (official installation) directory and
not the plugin directory from my custom installation and then of-course
complains about plugin compatibility.
It looks like path /usr/lib64/rsyslog is hard coded somewhere in source. I
of-course do not intend to replace official installation of rsyslog on my
machine. Theoretically it is possible to run multiple rsyslog instances.
Can you throw some light on how to fix this problem..?
Best Regards,
Dhaivat Desai.
