We currently have a proposal to add a table lookup capability to rsyslog (

m --> ) with the idea that this would be usable for things like geoIP
lookups, but this is a large enough task that it needs a sponsor to pay for
it, or someone outside the core team to work on implementing it. We have
been unable to find such a sponsor since my prior employer got tangled up
in internal politics of which department would pay the sponsorship.
