I figured it might have to do with mixing the two configuration types, but
I spent over an hour digging through the documentation and hadn't been able
to find anything.  I just did a quick Google search based on rsyslog &

It looks like that lists all the parameters that I should be using in the
new format.  That should get me going with what I'm trying to do.  Thanks
