Output channels are still supported, but only in old style. Indeed, I
intend to replace them, but as it turned out there is very limited demand
and as such it is has very low spot on the todo list (aka "not likely to
happen"). The sample provided in the initial posting looks right to me. Can
you mail me a startup debug log which also contains processing of one of
these messages, so that I can check why the filter does not evaluate.
