The documentation on the older formats is at the bottom of any of the pages
that document the newer formats (under the legacy section). Plus your
distro that is providing you with the 5.x version should also provide you
with a copy of the 5.x documentation.

you should be able to do something like:

:hostname, isequal, "foo" /var/log/foologs

or something like that.

P.S. If you cannot upgrade to a cversion supported by the community because
you will loose support from your distro, then you should ask your distro
hor support on the old version. If they won't support you, then you need to
think really hard about the reason for sticking with the old version.
