We're investigating the possibility of using rsyslog as our go to for
logging, but I am running into a configuration issue at the moment.

We're running centos  6 x64 with
rsyslog-5.8.10-10.el6_6.x86_64
 
I'm trying to setup the file creation permissions for 655 due to the fact
that baretail can't seem to open the samba file unless it has execute
permissions

So I editted the rsyslog.conf and added the following in the global
section:

[code:2ds1tlzo]$FileCreateMode 0655[/code:2ds1tlzo]

But this is the resulting permission setting
-rw-------   1 root root     332 Jan  7 14:01 172.16.50.1.log

thoughts?
