Hi,

how can I bind rsyslog to specific IP address for outgoing messages?

I have a device that has many interfaces (about 20) with many IP addresses.
It is using high avalability features such as vrrpd and dynamic routing. So
one day it may reach syslog server via one interface and use IP address of
this interface of the source IP address. After some dynamic change in the
network it may reach syslog server via other interface and use other source
IP.

And even worse: the IP address that was previously assigned to one server
later may be dynamically assigned to other server with smaller load. This
means that syslog messages from both servers will be combined into the same
file, because source IP addresses will be the same (although at different
points in time). Most logging systems allow to specify source IP address
for outgoing messages.

Is it possible to have fixed source IP address with rsyslog?
