Thanks David, I think switching to imptcp is good all around anyway.  I'll
have to play with the threads setting, that may help significantly as well.
 I know that there is a ton of performance tuning I can probably do here. 
I'm slowly getting better at rsyslog configuration, but I'm by no means an
expert.

Hopefully someone can comment on the maxsessions anyhow..
