Ok, this is just too strange not to post. Look at the CPU and Memory graph
from pstats (note that this is 12 hours whereas the other graphs were 24
hours):

The polling interval for these metrics is 300 seconds, so the highest peak
spent 214 seconds out of 300 busy (assuming it is using one core).
What on earth is Rsyslog doing that would cause it to just cease all
activity (or at least the reporting of it) for these weird timeframes, then
spike like crazy to catch up? I know I've seen this before in my pstats
CPU time logs.
