please log the files to disk with the format rRSYSLOG_DebugFormat

something like

*.*  /var/log/debuglog;RSYSLOG_DebugFormat

and see what shows up as the hostname in the debuglog

on the system sending the logs, how is it configured to gather the oracle
logs and send them?
