If you run anything earlier than rsyslog 8.12.0, you should upgrade to it
and see if the problem persists. We had many changes to imfile.

If the problem exists with the current 8.12.0 version, we need to look into
it. Unfortunately, I am currently busy with corporate things I need to take
care of. However, I suggest that you open an issue tracker on github:

The better you describe the case, the easier it is to look at it. If things
turn out reasonable well and we have an easy to follow way to reproduce,
Andre can probably look into it end of this week or beginning of next one.

Sorry I do not have a better answer. But I am not aware of a problem in
this area.
