I have read that post and still not quite sure,
I am assuming from what I read,
1. To determine messages per period check imudp, msgs.received is the
actual syslog message received. No idea what called.recvmmsg is and don't
understand the explanation.
Wed Sep 16 11:49:05 2015: imudp(w0): origin=imudp called.recvmmsg=228113
called.recvmsg=0 msgs.received=117395
2. To determine if the server is overloaded, check dropped message, I am
assuming to look at the Main Queue's discarded.full=0 ? since the imudp
does provide dropped messages?
Wed Sep 16 11:48:04 2015: main Q: origin=core.queue size=0 enqueued=190485
full=0 discarded.full=0 discarded.nf=0 maxqsize=2851
or, is it in imuxsock's ratelimit.discarded=0? but i think default rsyslog
doesn't have ratelimit set...
Wed Sep 16 11:04:02 2015: imuxsock: origin=imuxsock submitted=0
ratelimit.discarded=0 ratelimit.numratelimiters=0
