Hi.

This is "general" as my first problem with building/packaging
rsyslog-stable is with libee - during make it complains about a missing
getopt.h - while ./configure had no problems. (FYI - libestr compiled
directly; make check seems to be a no-op so I assume all is well.)

I have lots of 'things' I have packaged for AIX with their own copy of
getopt.h, so before I go looking for something generic I would like to know
where you are expecting it to come from. If it is a standard part of the
runtime environment for GNU and/or GCC that is probably why I am missing it
(I try to build using the IBM xlc compiler so I do not have to maintain two
runtime environments).

Any suggestions are welcome - I am hoping to be able to provide an
installable version of rsyslog for AIX - much more current that the version
5.* that is on IBM media and/or website.
