Hi -- thank you -- why can't I use imfile instead -- just curious?

I removed the lines from client and restarted rsyslog -- it stopped writing
locally but I don't see messages file on remote system.

Here are the lines from the centralized server:

$template TmplAuth, "/var/log/rsyslog_custom/%HOSTNAME%/%PROGRAMNAME%"
$template TmplMsg, "/var/log/rsyslog_custom/%HOSTNAME%/%PROGRAMNAME%"

authpriv.*   ?TmplAuth
*.info,mail.none,authpriv.none,cron.none   ?TmplMsg
