ok, if the logs are showing up on the sending machine, and you are
forwarding *.* to the central server, we now move to the next step. are the
logs being sent over the wire, and do you have any iptables rules that
would block it.

so if you do a tcpdump on the server side, do you see the packets from the
client?

can you ping the server from the client?

does iptables -L -n show that port 514 UDP is open on the server?
