Hi,

I have the exact same problem on centos 7.2. Rsyslog 8.16.0 won't start
after installation with the same error as ezv.
I'm able to get it started when I comment the 2 lines in rsyslog.service
but then his behaviour becomes very strange. When I do "echo test |logger",
I can see the result in /var/log/messages but it only appears something
like 5 minutes later and I can't see anything when I do journalctl -f. 
Everything is working fine with rsyslog 7.4.7-12 (in the base repository of
centos 7)
Are other people experiencing the same problem ?
