1. impstats will have the data you need.

2. tcpflood is a test tool to repeatedly send the same thing to a tcp
server. It's not a tool you would use in production.

what are you trying to do? why wouldn't you just use rsyslog to send the
messages from the rsyslog server to some other server

3. again, impstats will have the data you need. This is where you may use
tcpflood to flood data into rsyslog at high rates.
