Thanks very much for answering David.  I guess I was thinking a little to
much inside the box here.  I was thinking of a "tool" that would do this
for me.  I can just do this by taking locally generated syslog messages
(cron., mail. etc) and forwarding them to the far ends.

My apologies for the dumb question.
