Another interesting test I did is to change the port in the broker line to
9091 and now in syslog:

Jun 13 00:49:21 localhost rsyslogd-2422: omkafka: kafka message
kafka1.nicira.eng.vmware.com:9091/bootstrap: Failed to connect to broker at
kafka1.nicira.eng.vmware.com:9091: Connection refused [v8.19.0 try <!-- m

So if I change the port from default then rsyslog tries to connect to the
correct host but obviously I dont have a service running on that port.

Seems like a bug.
