A time honored topic to raise it yet again.  Redundancy between two
centralized rsyslog servers.  In rsyslog, is there any capability that
works "seamlessly" with VM ware?  By which I mean, VMware provides a level
of redundancy within their framework that fails over to (starts a 2nd
instance of the RSyslog server.  It may take 30 - 40 sec.  In the meantime
many messages are lost.  Also, this only works for a hardware or VM server
(OS) failure;  it does not help if there is an rsyslog failure.   Is there
anything you know of either in rsyslog or as an extension/application in vm
or the linux OS that can be used in conjunction with rsyslog  and VMware
with Linux OS  to detect application failure and help reduce the lost
message time?
