Good day, everyone. I truly apologize for the newbie question, but the way
I understood this works looks different than what I'm seeing in the logs.
I trying to write all the messages of a particular priority and above to
/var/log/messages. I put *.info /var/log/messages.
 Is it correct that:

*.info means that this will write every facility at the selected priority
level and above? in other words, it will write for example:

cron.info, cron.notice, cron.warning, cron.error, cron.alert,
cron.critical, and cron.emergency to the log?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
