you make the apache logs be severity info, and then you say to write *.info
to /var/log/messages, so the logs are doing exactly what you told them to
do.

do you just want to throw away the apache logs and have them not go into

Just looking to keep the apache logs to their respective files
(error.log/access.log) without spamming the messages file.
