Problem is logs not being written to the expected files
Logs are confirmed as entering the server using TCPDUMP
Server is confirmed as listening on port 514
 
rsyslog version 5.8.10
RHEL version 6.4
 
I am not sure why but the server has been setup to use rsyslog.conf but
also another file within the rsyslod.d directory. This set up is working on
another host.

This is a live box which I am trying to replicate in the lab so that I can
then verify the upgrade path to a more recent version of syslog.

I am do not have a background in Linux so apologise if I have missed
something obvious.
