you may need to enable a different repository to get the newer version. I
don't use RHEL derived distros any more so I don't know the exact details.

I don't think you needed to create your own template, just using the
RSYSLOG_ForwardFormat would be enough

*.* @135.25.246.43:1514;RSYSLOG_ForwardFormat

you set $ActionFileDefaultTemplate note "file" in the name. there is a
similar Forward default template variable that you can set.
