Thanks Dlang!  Implemented your recommendation.
And thanks for clarifying my understanding of rsyslog configurations!


1. Added the system / canned template,  RSYSLOG_ForwardFormat, after the
remote host definition 
2. removed the custom template definition and
3.s also removed the "$ActionFileDefaultTemplate RSYSLOG_ForwardFormat" as
it seems superfluous/unnecessary.

The needed timestamps are NOW sent to the remote host according to
expectations.
